Asin to give a miss to the world premiere of ‘Ready’ in London
The industry is keeping its fingers crossed for the release of Salman Khan’s ‘Ready’ which happens to be the first big release after IPL fever gets over. However, as the production house gears up for the dazzling world premiere of the flick in Dubai, the leading lady of the film, Asin Thottumkal, will be conspicuous by her absence in the scene.
Big FM H2 posts operating profit of Rs 23 mn
Big FM, Reliance Broadcast Network’s (RBNL) FM radio business, has posted an operating profit of Rs 23.13 million for the six-month period ended 31 March 2011.
In the trailing six-month period, the radio segment had suffered an operating loss of Rs 97.1 million.
During the quarter under review, the radio business revenue stood at Rs 955.86 million, up 20.43 per cent sequentially (Rs 793.72 million in six-month ended 30 September).
As of 31 March, RBNL has deployed a capital of Rs 2.61 billion on the radio segment.
Meanwhile, on a consolidated basis, RBNL has posted a net loss of Rs 242.45 million for the half year ended 31 March. Total incomestood at Rs 1.37 billion, while expenses were at Rs 1.62 billion.
From the outdoor segment, RBNL suffered an operating loss of Rs 90.51 million on a revenue of Rs 123.78 million. The experiential marketing segment posted an operating loss at Rs 24.57 million on a revenue of Rs 272.37 million.

Salman writes and records the opening lines for promo of Chillar Party
 Salman Khan is surely taking a keen interest in his first production venture Chillar Party which he is co-producing with Ronnie Screwvala of UTV. When Salman recently saw the theatrical trailer of the film, he felt that it lacked an interesting punch. He felt a voice-over introducing the characters of the film would make it all the more interesting. Anoushka Shankar Says ‘No’ to Zoos
Just when we thought we couldn’t possibly be bigger fans of longtimePETA pal Anoushka Shankar, she gives us one more reason to be wild about her. Wearing an outfit designed by famous designers Sandeep Khosla and Abu Jani and peering through iron bars next to the tagline “Exotic Animals Belong in the Wild, Not in Zoos”, Anoushka appears in a brand-new PETA ad. The ad, which was shot by ace photographer Dabboo Ratnani, is Anoushka‘s way of raising awareness about the thousands of animals who lead miserable lives in zoos all across India.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama: Boys pack a punch
At the music launch of Luv Ranjan’s directorial debut Pyaar Ka Punchnama (PKP), Ajay Devgn (who was one of the chief guests) summed up the movie in a single statement: “This is a film about frustrated guys made by frustrated guys”. This observation pretty much sums up the film, which comes as a breath of fresh air and entertains the audience (even the multiplex snobs) enough to make them clap, whistle and hoot, especially through the first half.

Bollywood star SALMAN KHAN has shot a cameo for Sab TV's "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah", as part of promotional activities for his new film "Ready". He spread cheer on the sets as he broke into some impromptu jigs with the popular actors of the comedy show.
Hrithik Roshan perfects himself for TV role
LI Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, who is set to judge dance reality show "Just Dance", is busy preparing himself by watching audition tapes over and over again.
The actor, who will make his debut on the small screen with the show, locked himself in his house for three days to watch the audition tapes featuring about 50 contestants. Hrithik wanted to be fair in letting only the deserving candidates move ahead in the show, said a source close to him.
Hrithik is taking a lot of care for the show, and being the perfectionist that he is, reached the sets much earlier than the scheduled time for the technical rehearsals Saturday.
Choreographers Farah khan and Vaibhavi Merchant will also judge the show, which will go on air on Star Plus.

It’s hard to say today who is a good actor. Because there are so many actors today and they all do not come from an acting background. I wonder at the age of 19 how did they become an actor? But ok that’s not my problem. But I guess I have watched Sasural Genda Phool and really like the leading lady Suhana (Ragini Khanna). She is a good actress. But I hardly get time to watch tv. And yes I like SAB TV’s Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma and especially Disha Vakani.
Laali to die in Agle Janam...
 There is a big twist coming up in Zee TV’s Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. Laali, who is as the main protagonist on the show, will die to save Shekhar’s life. The reason for this is that the makers want to see what the audience’s reaction will be. We, for one, are devastated. | ||||

Rajinikanth to be taken to Singapore for further treatment
Superstar Rajinikanth, who is currently being treated at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC) in Chennai, will be flying tonight to Singapore for further treatment. His wife Latha and daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya are expected to accompany him.
