Mumbai: Pakistani model-actress Veena Malik has demanded Rs 10 crores in damages from FHM India magazine after accusing them of putting a 'morphed' nude picture of her on their latest cover.
Veena, 33, has sent a notice to the magazine claiming they have 'cheated' her by 'tampering' the photos. The notice also claims that the incident has caused damage and harm to her reputation in India as well as in her country of birth and the world.
The cover of the magazine's December issue, posted on FHM India's website, features Veena in the buff along with the caption, 'Pakistani WMD Veena Malik on Asif, burqas and work visas'. The actress, who is seen sporting a tattoo with the words ISI on her arm in the photo, denied having posed nude.
"I have never posed nude. I have never done anything like that ever. The picture has been morphed. Its not me. Definitely not," Veena, who is in Mumbai for her new reality show said after the photos surfaced on the internet.
However, Kabeer Sharma, the chief editor of the magazine has said that they have a video of the photo shoot with her and an email from the actress that proves the authenticity of the photograph. "The photo shoot was done in Mumbai on November 22. We have a video of the photo shoot. I also have an email from Veena in which she says she has seen the photos and is happy with them, and that she's looking forward to seeing the cover," Sharma said.
