Big FM, Reliance Broadcast Network’s (RBNL) FM radio business, has posted an operating profit of Rs 23.13 million for the six-month period ended 31 March 2011.
In the trailing six-month period, the radio segment had suffered an operating loss of Rs 97.1 million.
During the quarter under review, the radio business revenue stood at Rs 955.86 million, up 20.43 per cent sequentially (Rs 793.72 million in six-month ended 30 September).
As of 31 March, RBNL has deployed a capital of Rs 2.61 billion on the radio segment.
Meanwhile, on a consolidated basis, RBNL has posted a net loss of Rs 242.45 million for the half year ended 31 March. Total incomestood at Rs 1.37 billion, while expenses were at Rs 1.62 billion.
From the outdoor segment, RBNL suffered an operating loss of Rs 90.51 million on a revenue of Rs 123.78 million. The experiential marketing segment posted an operating loss at Rs 24.57 million on a revenue of Rs 272.37 million.
